Breed Mensenrechtenoverleg NL
The 'Breed Mensenrechten Overleg Nederland' (BMO-NL, Broad Human Rights Consultation) is a cooperation between Dutch human rights organisations. The member organisations are of the opinion that The Netherlands should also meet international standards for human rights. They regularly speak with the Dutch government and suggest improvements. Aliens' detention
Every year in the Netherlands about 10,000 migrants without residence permits are being detained in special aliens' detention centres. They have not been convicted, neither are they suspected of a punishable act. The conditions in aliens' detention centres are worse than in prisons. Justitia et Pax explores alternatives to this treatment in close cooperation with prison pastors. Read more »
