Support us

Respect for human rights is a matter affecting everyone. The Friends of Justitia et Pax Foundation enables extra activities in The Netherlands and other countries. You can support our work through a donation or bequest to the foundation. Friends of Justitia et Pax receive our newsletter four times a year.
 
Every year, Justitia et Pax conducts special activities that would not have been possible without the support of the Friends of Justitia et Pax foundation. These activities include:
  • Public activities in The Netherlands to enhance people’s concern over human rights and to promote the importance of respecting these rights. In these activities, we involve people from various cultural and religious backgrounds. On 10 December 2008, for example, we organised the inter-religious and international convention Faith in Human Rights in the Peace Palace in The Hague, in celebration of the sixtieth anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
  • Support for Justitia et Pax commissions in other countries. Thus, in 2007 we offered refuge to a Justitia et Pax staff member that was forced to flee his country.
 

Become a Friend

To continue with our work, we need your extra support. Become a Friend of Justitia et Pax through:
  • a one-off donation
  • a periodical donation
  • a bequest.
Donations are tax-deductible if they amount to more than 1 percent of your aggregate income. However, you may not deduct more than 10 percent of your aggregate income.
  
One-off donation
You can become Friend of Justitia et Pax by:
  • registering using the registration form
  • transferring an amount to ING bank account no. 7227893, account holder Stichting Vrienden Justitia et Pax in The Hague.
All amounts are welcome!
  
Periodical donation
A periodical donation means that you transfer a fixed amount every year, for a period of at least five years. A periodical donation is fully deductible from income tax and exempt from gift tax, up to an amount determined annually by the Tax Administration. Amounts exceeding this maximum amount are subject to 11 percent gift tax over the total donation, payable by the Friends of Justitia et Pax foundation.
 
The donation must be registered with a notary. This can be done:
  • at your own notary’s office
  • by applying for the power of attorney form from the Friends of Justitia et Pax Foundation, empowering our notary to register your periodical donation. If your donation amounts to a minimum of € 100 per year, the Friends of Justitia et Pax foundation will settle the costs of drawing up the notary deed.
 
Applying for the power of attorney form via Justitia et Pax:
  1. You request a power of attorney form from Justitia et Pax and complete this form. If you have a wedded or registered partner, you will need your partner’s permission. In that case, you need to complete the form together.
  2. You send the power of attorney, together with a copy of a valid passport or driver’s license, to the Friends of Justitia et Pax foundation, P.O.Box 16334, 2500 BH The Hague.
  3. The foundation will have the notary draw up the deed and will settle the costs if your annual donation amounts to € 100 or more. You do not need to visit a notary’s office personally.
